I cannot believe this is happening.

It’s been so long in the making, I’m struggling to wrap my head around the fact that it’s almost here. The first hard copy has been proofed. The final draft has been submitted.

“I Thought You Knew…” is about to arrive in your mailbox.

Didn’t order it yet? Not a problem. Click here to order your copy. And if you just want to order from good ol’ Amazon, there will be endless opportunity for that.

Here’s the thing. I’m not so much on hyping myself. It’s uncomfortable. The number of assumptions inherent in suggesting to the wide world of the web that I have something each and every one of you needs is absurd. For better or for worse, it’s just not me.

So, why should you read this book? Only you can answer that question. But here are a few more questions that might help you decide how to answer.

  1. Are you aware of it when you’re making assumptions?
  2. In that awareness, do you know which ones are harmless and which ones are doing damage to your relationships at work and elsewhere?
  3. Do you have clear ideas of what to do about it?

If you answered “yes” to those questions, contact me to be a guest presenter during my upcoming course on assumptions. You might still find the book entertaining.

If you answered “no”, welcome to my tribe. You might find the book entertaining AND useful. You might, coincidentally, also be interested in checking out the new course I’m offering on assumptions. There are only a few seats left…

If you have become aware that you make a lot of assumptions, you might get some benefit from this book.

If you aren’t as clear as you’d like to be about how assumptions might be affecting your effectiveness, you might get some benefit from this book.

If you follow me and like reading my stuff, you’ll probably enjoy the book.

If none of those statements are true for you, don’t buy the book.

But I still wish you well.
